Pre-Departure Post

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my blog. I will be using this site to update friends and family on my travels in Ecuador. I have a lot left to do in my remaining days state side such as immunizations, purchasing a digital camera, banking and cell phone logistics, etc. Twice this week I have had the unfortunate experience of finding a spider crawling on me. One on my neck and one on my leg. As I shrieked "ew ew ew ew!" and did a spastic and shortened version of the cupid shuffle (see youtube "cupid shuffle" if you're unfamiliar), I realized that this is probably just a test of what's to come. I hear they have big bugs in Ecuador.
